The B I R D

Just about 10 minutes ago, I was in my room lazing around. The sound of a bird whistling made me turn out of the window and behold, I saw one of God's creation on the edge of the window...

The look of a magpie had always caught my attention..OK,maybe that's because I don't know that many kind of birds..hehee...But, nevertheless, I still like the way it looks..yes.

For those who don't know how a magpie looks like,this is it...(maybe to you,it doesn't look that nice and attractive but,ohhh well,I still like it...:)

It continued to whistle and then, it flew away.It made me wonder why do they actually whistle and make some other sounds...So, here is what I've found out...It's rather interesting..

Talking
A Bird talks when it is content and happy and wants to
send a message to the another bird or it's owner.

Whistling
When a bird whistles it is communicating that the bird feels
content, safe and is at ease in it's world.

Chattering
Some birds just like to talk, talk about anything; their
environment, how they feel, the state of the union....
so to communicate their thoughts, they chatter/chirp, sometimes
incessantly, sometimes loud, sometimes soft.

Young birds chirp or chatter when they want fed. Birds in
the wild often chatter as a warning sign to other birds that
something is not right in their environment, or as a call
to attract another bird's attention.

Singing
While there are many reasons why a bird sings, it generally
can be divided into:
When it is communicating a message to another bird
When it is communicating a message to it's owner
When it is content and happy and just feels like singing a song

More Specifically Birds Call or Sing:

* Calling or singing to attract a mate.

* Calling or singing to establish the bird's territory

* As an indication of the readiness of either or both
partners for sexual activity

* Maintain a bond between male and female bird

* As a way of communication between parent and young

* As a means of warning it's mate or other members of the flock
of danger

* As a means of gathering a flock together or finding each other

* As a means of encouragement to fellow flock members (such
as the case of geese flying and calling to other members to
keep up

* As a tactic of intimidation to predators or other birds

* Birds do practice their songs, calling and talking through repetition

Never enough.

What makes someone study,study...and study..
The Kiasu-ness and fear of the people around me seem to be like Exams are the ONLY thing in life..They worry,they fret about the exam coming up and the results after the exam...But,I have to admit that I do worry sometimes although I know I shouldn't be..=)
But,it has come to my observation that nowadays,the education is so exam based.The teachers keep on stressing on what will come out in exam and so on..Teachers say,"This Bab keluar already in SPM so,don't have to study so much"..I mean,come on...do we just study for the sake of exams or are we at school to learn eventhough it has already come out in exam before....By the way I'm not saying that exams are evil..They can be good too.heheee

I have been rather RESTLESS lately....Agitated...fidgety...jittery..uneasy..Urgghh!Help ME!!!!!

POINT OF GRACE

Went KL on Friday and came home this morning..It's a good feeling being back home after all the jams and busy-ness of the city :)I don't like jams..But,overall,it was a great trip!
Anyway,went to the Aquaria yesterday at KLCC and saw all sorts of animals..yup...

the STARFISH..I touched it.Hard feeling..I wonder if starfishes could be eaten.HOw would it taste??hmm..hahaa

Ohh..the embryo of a turtle..looks cool.

I like the look of this fish..Things sticking out here and there.

Fishes..Man,this reminds me of all the fishes I used to keep.How I used to be so crazy over fishes and fed them everyday.And then later the craze slowly faded away...The fishes saw less of me as the days went by..And now,donno where all of them are already.Most of them dead,some still alive.
