DRAGONFLY

Have been doing lots of research for the Biology project...MAn,its really frustrating trying to match the look of the insect with their names. And the project is due this coming week, when school restarts.
Ahhh!! School's starting! A whole year of Upper 6 ahead...everything seems to be so fast.. old man....
..................................................................

anyway, that's not the reason why I'm writing this post. Well, while I was looking around the net,I came across these pics somewhere... I find it rather cool! Look at the way the dragonfly is formed/delivered/hatched (donno which is the correct word..hahaa)..

I find it very amazing. And this clearly shows how great Our God, the CREATOR is!!! And mind you, these pictures are only for a dragonfly.. Imagine how many other dragonflies, insects, animals, plants, trees are out there... Humans are His creation too..Simply amazing, isn't it?

There you go, A DRAGONFLY!!!Tadaa!!!!

LIttle PUppy..

We got a new puppy last Sunday and she is so so Cute =)HOw nice if she could stay that small, a PUPPY for a longer time.. *I wish*..Well,that's not happening. She's growing fast and eats SO very fast..
Just fed the doggies and she eats like as though she hasn't eaten for Days...KAkaaka.

Presenting to you,CHILI or is it Chilly or CILI?!?hmm...not sure bout the spelling..

She looks a lil like a lion cub in this next picture doesn't she?! haha..

So, all in all, we have 4 dogs in the house..Which makes feeding time longer, more noise and a lot more FUN too :)

I went in the car and said Selamat Pagi Encik and not a single sound came out from his voice..Quite scary lar... BUt anyhow,it was GOOD!! Thank GOd!

JPA interview was last Friday and it turned out quite good too..I thought it would have been more tense but it was quite enjoyable actually...Ya..Haha..The interviewer was quite a funny guy.Jokes around a lil.

So T I N Y,teeny-weeny.....

24th-28th March has been a journey for me..There's this one week program,an 'exposure' to how a doctors life would be by JPA..And it's a compulsory thing for those who applied for MEdicine to go to the hospital for a week before going for the interview...
My interview is this Friday, 10am..

Going to the Kluang hospital everyday and being able to see things from another perspective was a good thing...We were given tags that said "Kad Pelatih Hospital Kluang"...Haha (We're not even Medical Students)

Anyway,I'm still UNCERTAIN of what's next..Whether I should really be a doctor or to do the other options that I have in mind...

I went in the Delivery Room one of the days..Too bad there weren't any deliveries happening....But,a nurse showed us a baby..And it was not any ordinary baby but a baby that is only 24 weeks old and is slowly dying away..It's kind of sad lar..Her parents decided not to continue with the pregnancy since her brain was not forming properly.

So,the doctor injected the mum with some stuff so that she would be able to deliver her.She was only 400gm and so TINY (20 cm long) ! And,her heart was still BEATING..Slowly fading away... Fingers and toes all fully formed, just that her skull and brain were not formed fully.Looked so delicate and fragile..

The nurse said that they were just waiting for her heartbeat to slowly stop and then they will wrap her up and hand her to her family.

If I was in the parents' situation, what would I have done?Would I have continued with the child's abortion since the ultra scan showed that her brain wasn't forming properly and my child might end up being a disabled? I donno man...I really don't know...

Sad isn't it?

What lies ahead....

My mind,
Thinks and thinks..
My heart says another thing...Sigh..
DECISIONS needed to be made...Big decisions.
There are pros and cons to any decision.
It reminds me of this poem that I've learnt in Form 4.....
THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
-Robert Frost-

*Lord,please help me in making a decision...Grant me WISDOM,I pray =)

I DON'T LIKE it .....

1. When I have STOMACH CRAMPS almost every month!!!It is NOT a nice feeling at all!!Like yesterday,I woke up in the middle of the night with this horrible, horrendous, excruciating pain(words can't describe the pain lar.. Sometimes, when the pain is just so overwhelming, you'll just feel like dying man..seriously...)
Anyway,It was like 4 something a.m.Took so long to fall back to sleep, tossing and turning, curling up, trying to ignore the pain (but of course the horrible pain was still there). I tried ignoring the pain so that I wouldn't have to take Panadol (I don't want to take and depend too much on Panadol's). Even now,the pain is still there!

2. When people DRAG their feet while walking. It is irritating to the ears! On Saturday,I went for the module (for driving) in Niyor and this officer there was DRAGGING his feet very heavily and badly! In front of everybody and it made so much noise...
My goodness, couldn't he hear the so much noise that was coming from his walking?! It spoils his image man..I tell you,I have never encountered someone who drags his/her feet as bad as this officer..

3. When I'm in a situation that puts me to plan last minutely or am given something to do Sooo last minutely. But of course there are exceptions for some situations..

4. I eat almost every other fruit except for this one particular fruit..There is something in it that makes me not like it..It's The HONEYDEW..ewwww!!
And guess what? Jem,my youngest sister LOVES it!!OHh man...That is one thing I cannot understand..Sometimes,she specially requests for my mum to buy honeydew just so that she can eat it...Yucks!Jemmie-Jem=)

in SINGAPORE

I'm sitting in front of Jo's laptop now, feeling really tired and sleepy, waiting for Ly to come home from work(the hospital)..I'm gonna cut my hair tomorrow!!!

5 am- Left Kluang for Singapore..Quite early because it's Jie-Jie Eunice's first day of WORK!!!!so,can't afford to be late right?!and,we thought there might be a jam along 2nd link..
Anyway, sent Jie Eunice of to work and then dropped Jo at MRT station so she won't be late for school.

AND that leaves Jaeson (Jie Eunice's bf) and I.He wanted to go to Parklane Mall where the whole mall sell guitars and other instruments..So,we went spent almost like 1 1/2 hours finding for Orchard Road..Hahaa,we went round and round the city when Orchard Road was just nearby us.AT LAST,we went to Plaza Singapura first and then Jaeson tried to find out where Parklane Mall is..
Jaeson went to Parklane Mall and I was left at Plaza singapura walking here and there...walking from shop to shop for 2 hours like that..

We headed for Junction 8 at Bishan where Jaeson was meeting his ex-classmate..So,he dropped me off and went off with his friend.I walked and walked again..From shop to shop..It was better than Plaza Singapura!
After walking around and shopping for another 2 hours plus,my legs started to feel lazy and painful!!And I have walked around until felt quite lazy to shop already(hehe...you know the feeling?!?). I then remembered that there's a library next to Junction 8.I was walking up the library when Jaeson called..
Reached Singapore home at about 4 something....

That's my story for today!and I will be back to Kluang on Thursday =)Don't miss me too much while you all are in SCHOOL!!MWMAHAHAAa...

Pill..pill.PILLS!!

So many PILLS!!
Arghh..My body ACHES..My stomach la, shoulders la, back la, head la, neck la,ear la...
All sorts of pills I have to take for now..

My ear has an infection and when I was in the Orang asli village, it was PUSSY and slightly BLEEDING = ITCHY and also PAINFUL especially when in contact with water!
It got better when I came home from the mission trip.
But it started to have pus again and it was as if my ear was going to drop off!!
Mummy scared me and said that my ear might drop off, like having diabetes..
Jemmie-Jem said something like this,"EIYER!!Ohh My GOODNESS...You better go see the DOCTOR!!!

So,on Saturday,I quickly hurried Jo to bring me to the doctor!!!
We only went in the doctor's room for like a minute or two.

And there,he gave me some lotion and pills including some ANTIBIOTICS (Sheesh..its the 2nd time this month eating ANTIBIOTICS!!not very good...)
And today I read in the newspaper that stomach upsets happen when broad-spectrum antibiotics are used for too long (Now I know,no wonder I'm having stomach aches)

Look at all those pills..I took them this morning...It's the medicine the doctor gave me and also some Vitamins and supplements..

*Anyway, tomorrow,we (Daddy,Mummy,Jie Eunice,Jo,Jem and ME) will be going down to SINGAPORE and stay a night there.
PURPOSE of the trip = MIssy missy Ly cannot get a leave for Chinese New Year EVE and so we are going to Singapore instead of just celebrating here without Ly..We are COMING LY!!!can't wait to see her!!!

*have a BLESSED CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm B A C K!

I have been postponing in coming up with a post on the MISSION TRIP..It has been a week since I came home..hahaa..I know it has been quite long since I came home and now only i'm posting about the mission trip..
yup.Almost 2 weeks (14th -24th Jan) away from home into the orang asli area..staying with them will be something I will never ever forget for the rest of my life!
Trust me..after staying there for a week and having to use the toilet in the open air as in the jungle and also falling sick in the village and eating monkeys as well as touching them will be something I will never ever forget.

This is the TOILET!!among the ROCKS and TREES!!!seriously..Argghh..It felt weird at first but after sometime, you get use to it..

This is the 'holy bathroom' where they also cut meat, bathe, wash clothes, pee(urinate), get their water....

Washing clothes with the forever running water..It was a good thing cause we need not worry whether there would be enough clean water or not..At least we didn't have to use river water..haha
It was indeed a very memorable experience and I enjoyed myself although there were times when I felt really HOMESICK!I missed my mums food..The meals that we (Christina and I) ate there were something like this:
Rice and Ikan masin (One of the most popular combinations of food when we were there..haha)
Rice and Tapioca shoots cooked with ikan bilis
Rice and MOnkey and some vegetable stuff

Rice and ikan masin and egg

Rice and Kijang and vegetables

Rice and Tortoise and some vegetables
Rice and squirrel and vegetables

They were slaughtering this kijang..We ate it the next day but it smelt quite bad cause there, the uncooked meat is kept in the open without the fridge as there isn't electric supply and then the meat would smell quite bad..
It was a great wonder and it still is.Christina and I would eat so much rice and yet not feel full...We ate like so so much rice...and kept on eating but couldn't seem to feel full.Weird huh?? Basically we were at the orang asli's to teach them (especially the children).

This is one of the things they do for a living..We were helping them to cut bamboo shoots that would be sold to ppl and then sold in the market...The other day,we also helped them fold the banana leaves..

Basically we were there to teach them (especially the children)..It was tough at certain points as these children are not frequently exposed with all these alphabets and numbers..So teaching them is something like my chinese teacher trying to teach me(whose Chinese isn't that good) a quite high level of Chinese!!

Many of them do not go to school or are drop outs. Many after reaching the age of about 8 quit school..It is either because they are not interested or they find it too difficult to cope in school. The orang asli children PLAY a lot..They have all kinds of games... we played with them kejar-kejar, hide and seek, mother hen, dalam kotak(quite a complicated game), polis-perompak and some other games here and there..

Playing ibu ayam(mother hen) with them...They made Christina and I be the mother hen all the time whenever we played with them..

Going into the orang asli has certainly taught me A LOT!!It has changed my perspective on the way I view things. One thing is,I definitely APPRECIATE my home better now!!
And now I understand how some of my friends in school struggle through school..Because they can't even grasp the basics and because of that, they have difficulties in moving on further when teacher teaches..
In the picture above, the girl on the extreme left is a Standard 6 girl and she still goes to school but she takes such a LONg time to calculate 12 minus4...and she can't even create proper sentences in malay..I had to pronounce or say a word syllable by syllable so that she can spell the word (like..BA-CA)then only she would know how to spell..Even then she sometimes takes quite a long time to spell a word..

We stayed at Pastor Philip's home for 4 nights after coming out of the orang asli village. And this is a picture with all of them!!

I love these pictures!!hahaa..We followed Pastor Philip's children for football and while they were practicing and playing we took these pictures for awhile..hehe..Click on the picture for a better view =)

Taking a picture with them at at our room..They emptied a room for both Christina and I..

I like this girl a lot!!!The girl in GREEN!!That is Kuni...She is so ADORABLE!!!!I MISS her lar!!

We were visiting this house..And they were eating in the DARK.. As you can guess,Christina took this picture and her camera's flash was So BRIGHT(painful to the eyes..ouchh!haha)!!

We touched MONKEYS!!ohh...Christina loves them and fell in love with this one...She has so many pictures with them!!!hahaa

Our last picture with some of the Ongkel villagers before we left for Kluang..When I first came home the other day,my house suddenly looked and felt so CLEAN!!haha..seriously...It felt so good to be HOME!!

And last but not least,a picture with the YMI-ers at our last dinner together!!I kinda miss them...Learning, Laughing, fooling around, going for meals, practicing together and many other fun things!!!
